2026 update

Hello there! It has been a while without updates, but here we are! First and foremost, we actually have to celebrate our first payment from Google. Behold!

You see the total of 2025 App sales! OMMFG!

Seriously, you probably wonder how we ever get a noteworthy amount of donations at this pace. But the good news is: the App and website infrastructure are working just fine. We just need to scale up, and this is where you come in. Just spread the word, share a link, or mention us on your favorite SM (for social media) platform. This is basically a two guys project, both of us full-time employees with family obligations, so we cannot maintain a busy SM profile. But never forget: We want to funnel useless Google play chips into actual funds for charity. So if you want to donate real money, do it directly.

Secondly, we have a first voting distribution. These are the “voting events” of 2025 from a screenshot from the firebase console:

Clearly, this is not representative due to the small number of votes. Also, the total revenue does not match the votes cast, which is probably due to refunds. But this is fine for now. This is the new distribution:

We will of course not divvy up the 4€ and donate fractions of Euros, so be patient. Hopefully in a year, we can present a real expenditure report.

And finally, a maintenance update of the App is pushed end of January. Google is probably burying our App as deep as possible, so the least we can do is to regularly push updates.
